About the role

Ready to kickstart your career and actually make an impact? 🚀 Join us and be part of projects that keep millions moving every single day!

This isn't just an apprenticeship; it's your launchpad. We're talking real hands-on experience mixed with top-notch development. Think technical training, epic apprenticeship days, and awesome mentors to guide you. You'll be working on projects that *actually* matter.

Team up with other apprentices, showcase your wins, and smash your Apprentice Excellence Project by proposing a game-changing idea for our business. 💡 You'll be plugged into a specific role from day one, giving you a clear path to grow and setting you up for a permanent gig once you nail your apprenticeship.

You'll be working towards a LEVEL 4 Rail Engineering Advanced Technician apprenticeship standard. This means gaining essential knowledge, skills, and behaviours that will be honed throughout your journey with us and your training provider. Get ready for a 48-month block release (hybrid) program, powered by NTAR.

Here’s How You’ll Make A Difference:

  • Engineer Your Future: Get hands-on learning in designing, testing, installing, and maintaining signalling and control systems. 🔧
  • Real-World Impact: Dive into live projects, supporting vital signalling and control solutions across the UK rail network. Learn the industry's secrets and processes. 🌍
  • Grow and Shine: Develop your career and professional skills. Aim for professional registration and get involved in STEM and volunteering fun. ✨

What You’ll Need to Bring:

  • Academic Foundation: At least a Grade 4/C in GCSE English Language and Maths. 📚
  • Sharp Mindset: You've got logical thinking, a thirst for learning, and a creative spark for problem-solving. 🧠
  • Proactive & Collaborative: You can work independently, safely, and responsibly. You're ready to own challenges, champion ideas, and drive change. Plus, you love working with others to cook up cool solutions! 🤝
  • Engineering Chops: You’ve got or are on track to get:
  • A Level 3 Engineering Qualification
  • A Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering
  • A relevant Engineering BTEC or equivalent
  • 3x A Levels at C or above in subjects like Maths, Physics, and/or Engineering.
