As an AI Engineer Apprentice, you'll be at the forefront of innovation, helping to create intelligent algorithms that tackle complex problems, automate tasks, and predict future trends. You'll explore diverse AI solutions like generative AI, speech-to-text, and image processing, and even get to grips with the infrastructure that powers it all. Learn by doing, collaborate with experienced architects and data engineers, and work on impactful client and product initiatives. 💡

What You'll Be Doing:

• Building AI Models: Craft powerful AI models using programming languages, with a strong focus on Python. 🐍
• Testing & Implementing: Rigorously test and deploy AI models, working closely with stakeholders and product managers to ensure they hit the mark. ✅
• API Development: Transform AI tools into user-friendly APIs that integrate seamlessly with other software. 💻
• User Experience Focus: Partner with product development and UX teams to champion AI adoption and design intuitive AI tools. 🤝
• Data Preparation: Clean, prepare, and explore data, getting it perfectly optimized for modeling. 📊
• Generative AI Prototyping: Experiment with cutting-edge generative AI, including large language models, prompt engineering, vector databases, and orchestration frameworks. ✍️
• Production Deployment: Assist in deploying and monitoring AI models in live environments, tracking performance and identifying any data drift. 📈
• Responsible AI: Uphold ethical AI practices, including bias detection, data privacy, and adherence to security and governance standards. 🛡️
• Documentation: Clearly document your work so that everyone can understand, support, and build upon it. 📝

What You'll Need:

• Programming Experience: Some coding skills, ideally in Python, gained from studies, personal projects, or work. 💻
• Math Fundamentals: A solid grasp of maths, including statistics and basic algebra. ➕➖
• AI Passion: A genuine interest in AI and machine learning, backed by an example of something you've created, studied, or explored. 🌟
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and spoken communication, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. 🗣️
• Problem-Solving: A logical and curious mindset for tackling challenges. 🤔
• Eagerness to Learn: A strong desire to learn quickly and embrace feedback. 🌱

Bonus Points (Desirable Experience):

• Familiarity with libraries like pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow. 📚
• Experience interacting with large language models via APIs or building simple prompt-based tools. 💬
• Exposure to cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure. ☁️
• Proficiency with Git and Jupyter Notebooks. 💻

Entry Requirements:

We accept a range of qualifications including:

• Two A-levels in a relevant subject, plus a B in A-level Maths.
• Two A-levels in a relevant subject, plus 2 years of tech work experience.
• Level 4 or 5 apprenticeship in a similar technical field.
• International Baccalaureate Level 3 in a relevant subject.
• 3+ years in a similar subject-related role.
• A first degree in a numerate discipline (excluding Computer Science for funding purposes).

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week. ⏰
