Ready to dive into the exciting world of tech? 💻 We're looking for motivated individuals to join our IT team as Apprentices. This is your chance to gain hands-on experience, learn from dedicated mentors, and build a solid foundation for your future in IT. 🌟
What You'll Be Doing:
- IT Support Guru: Be the first point of contact for our colleagues, tackling tech issues, logging and prioritizing tickets, and troubleshooting everyday problems. You'll also help welcome new team members and support those leaving the company. 👋
- Hardware & Software Whiz: Get hands-on setting up and deploying laptops, desktops, and mobile devices. You'll install and configure software and keep our IT asset records in tip-top shape. 🛠️
- Network Navigator: Help us keep things connected! You'll assist with monitoring network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and learn the ins and outs of Wi-Fi, VPNs, and network infrastructure. 🌐
- Systems Admin Apprentice: Support user accounts, permissions, backups, and routine system maintenance under expert guidance. 🧑💻
- Cyber Security Champion: Play a role in monitoring our systems for security threats and promoting good security practices. You'll help identify, report, and document potential risks according to our team's procedures. 🛡️
- Learning & Documentation Pro: You'll be completing your apprenticeship coursework and assessments, building your training portfolio, and clearly documenting the solutions you create. 📚
What You'll Need:
- 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject.
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above).
- You must not already have a qualification at the same or a higher level in a similar subject.
Your Schedule:
- Working 40 hours per week.
- Your home base is Cobham, but you'll be travelling across the group. 🚗
- For the first three months, you'll be based in Cobham and shadowed by a colleague for site visits.
- After six months, you may be able to visit sites independently, depending on your progress and readiness.
