About the role

Cyber Consultant (Degree Apprenticeship) 🛡️

Are you ready to dive into the thrilling world of cybersecurity and help shape the future of how businesses protect themselves? Join our dynamic Cyber team within Risk & Controls Consulting and become a vital part of safeguarding clients in an ever-changing digital landscape. 💻

What You'll Be Doing:

Our Cyber team is all about helping clients navigate the complexities of modern risk. You'll be on the front lines, working on challenging projects that tackle everything from cyber-attacks and supply chain vulnerabilities to geopolitical disruptions. We're not just about tech solutions; we're about building comprehensive strategies to manage risk effectively. 🚀

Here's a taste of what you can expect:

  • Understanding Cyber Risks: Dive deep into a client's technology environment and figure out where their cyber risks lie. Think about how customers, vendors, and third-party providers all connect and create potential vulnerabilities in today's hyper-connected world. 🌐
  • Implementing Cyber Controls: Get hands-on with prioritizing and putting in place crucial cyber controls and tech solutions. This could involve everything from managing who can access what, to securing networks, implementing core technology, and even getting into advanced cyber capabilities. Help businesses innovate and grow securely! 🔒
  • Navigating Disruption: Help clients build resilience against strategic risks, crises, and major incidents. You'll also ensure they meet all the latest regulatory and compliance demands across different global markets. Stay one step ahead! 🌍
  • Securing the Extended Enterprise: Work with clients to secure and optimize their entire network of partners and suppliers. Through advice, software, and implementation, you'll help them manage risk, unlock value, and build trust across their extended ecosystem. 💪

We want our clients not just to survive, but to *thrive* in the digital world, giving their customers, investors, and partners ultimate confidence. Whatever your passion, you'll be using innovative tools, cutting-edge tech, working with fascinating industries, and collaborating with brilliant minds across Deloitte. ✨

What You Bring:

  • No prior cyber experience needed! However, a keen interest in current affairs and emerging trends is a big plus. 🧠
  • You'll need to have achieved (or be working towards) a minimum of 104 UCAS points from your top 3 A-Levels (if gained after 2017 – or 260 if before).
  • This is a degree apprenticeship, so you must not have already completed a degree. 🎓
  • We're looking for individuals who embody our 10 core skills. You can find out more in the 'Discover What We Look For' section of our Candidate Zone.

Your Development Journey:

You'll be studying towards the BrightStart Level 6 Project Management Degree Apprenticeship. 🌱 From day one, you'll be immersed in a 'live experience,' joining a client project and engaging with the team and client. You'll receive ongoing professional development support, mentorship, and a dedicated buddy.

Where You'll Work:

We embrace a hybrid working model, balancing office collaboration with home working flexibility. 🏡 Some client-facing roles may require site visits. Your development will be a mix of in-person inductions, networking events, and team meetings. We're committed to accessibility and offer flexibility for those with health conditions or caring responsibilities.
