About the role

Nuclear Scientist & Engineer Development Programme 🚀 | Devonport Naval Base

Ready to launch your career in nuclear science and engineering? ⚛️ Based at Devonport, the biggest naval base in Western Europe, you'll dive into a targeted development programme designed to shape you into a future leader. You'll be working with an awesome team, supporting the safe refit and maintenance of the UK's nuclear submarine fleet. 🚢

Get ready to become an expert in the nuclear systems and equipment that power critical defence operations. Your mission: ensuring everything runs smoothly, safely, and always meets strict regulations. 💯

You'll be hands-on with exciting activities like engineering design, technical analysis, simulations, complex calculations, and creating vital technical reports and drawings. ✍️ This is where you'll see how engineering and scientific smarts are applied in a super safety-critical world.

Through rotations across specialist teams – think Design Delivery, Safety Engineering, Operations and Maintenance, Reactor Commissioning, Nuclear Standards, Reactor Product Safety and Assurance, and Radioactive Waste Management – you'll get a 360-degree view of the nuclear lifecycle. 🔄 You'll gain a deep understanding of how complex engineering systems are designed, operated, and maintained in a high-stakes environment.

This is your chance to make a real impact and build a seriously cool career. 😎
