About the role
Receptionist & Administrative Superstar! ✨
Ready to be the welcoming face and organizational wizard of our practice? We're looking for a high-energy individual to provide top-notch admin and reception support, making sure everyone feels greeted, informed, and taken care of. This is your chance to contribute to a smoothly running environment where effective communication and teamwork are key. 🤝 You'll be a pro at keeping things confidential, safe, and equal for all.
What you'll be doing:
- Being the first point of awesome contact for patients, whether they walk in or call. Make a great impression! 😎
- Guiding patients to the right place or person with a smile and efficiency. 😊
- Mastering our appointments system – booking, rescheduling, and managing everything smoothly. 📅
- Providing essential admin, clerical, and secretarial support to our clinical and practice team. 📝
- Handling repeat prescriptions like a champ, following our guidelines. 💊
- Managing all incoming and outgoing mail, messages, filing, and data entry. 📂
- Keeping our consulting rooms, reception, and shared spaces looking sharp and professional. 🏡
- Keeping an eye on stationery and supplies, and helping with clinical waste procedures. 📦
- Being the communication hub between patients, our healthcare team, and outside agencies. 📣
Your commitment to trust and safety:
- You'll be privy to sensitive info, so keeping patient, staff, and business details strictly confidential is a must, just like our policies and data protection rules. 🤫
- You'll champion health, safety, and security by following practice policies, spotting and reporting risks, using infection control, and completing required training. You'll also be a guardian for children and vulnerable individuals. 🛡️
Embracing everyone:
- You'll promote equality and diversity by respecting everyone's rights, dignity, privacy, and beliefs. Be inclusive and non-judgemental! ❤️
Growing with us:
- Jump into training sessions and annual performance reviews. 🚀
- Take ownership of your learning, development, and performance. 🌱
Quality and Teamwork:
- Help us keep things running at peak quality and always look for ways to improve. 🌟
- Manage your own workload like a pro and collaborate with colleagues and external partners. 👯
- Spot potential risks, suggest awesome improvements, and help out with audits. ✅
Communication is key:
- Chat effectively with patients, their carers, and your team members. 🗣️
- Adapt how you communicate to suit different people's needs. 👂
Key responsibilities

- Assist and direct patients to the appropriate service or healthcare professional
- Manage the appointments system, including booking appointments, visits and telephone consultations
- Provide administrative, clerical and secretarial support to clinical and practice staff
