About the role

We're looking for a sharp mind to join our team! 🚀 This role involves being the go-to expert for our commercial construction and domestic clients, guiding them on the best equipment for their projects. 🛠️ Think of yourself as the ultimate tech advisor, ensuring they know all about safe operation, usage instructions, site suitability, and transport needs. 🚚

You'll also be a guardian of quality, making sure all our hire equipment is totally compliant with Health & Safety regs. ✅ That means keeping an eye on things like PAT testing, inspections, operational checks, and even plant operator site cards. 📋

When it comes to paperwork, you'll be on top of it! Completing all the essential contract docs at both the start and end of hires, covering all legal and H&S essentials. ✍️ Plus, you'll be handling payments, which means crunching numbers for hire charges (they can differ for our commercial vs. domestic clients!), figuring out damage charges, and being savvy with fraud prevention and insurance payments. 💸

You'll also be the central hub for your colleagues, sharing your knowledge on stock control, maintenance schedules, staffing for driver-operated plant, and all things delivery and collection. 📦 Finally, you'll be the friendly face (or voice!) for handling customer tech questions and sorting out any issues that pop up. 🗣️👂

Key responsibilities

  • Providing technical information and handling enquiries for customers.
  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety requirements for equipment.
  • Completing contract documentation at both on-hire and off-hire stages.
  • Processing payments and calculating hire and rental charges.
  • Acting as an information point for colleagues on operational requirements.
