About the role

ALN Administrator Apprenticeship: Shape Futures & Support Students! πŸŽ“βœ¨

Ready to kickstart a career in education that makes a real difference? We're on the hunt for an enthusiastic apprentice to join our dedicated ALN (Additional Learning Needs) team. This is your chance to gain hands-on experience and develop vital skills while supporting students to thrive! πŸš€

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Student Record Rockstar: You'll be on top of managing student records and plans, especially for those with Additional Learning Needs. Think of it as being the master organiser for Individual Development Plans (IDPs) – keeping everything updated, compliant, and super neat. πŸ“‚βœ…
  • Support Service Coordinator: You'll be the central hub, connecting teachers, teaching assistants, parents, and external pros (like psychologists or therapists). If a student needs extra help, you'll ensure it's arranged and everyone's in the loop. πŸ€πŸ“’
  • ALNCo's Right Hand: While the ALNCo sets the big picture, you'll be the administrative powerhouse, scheduling meetings, prepping documents, and tracking progress data. πŸ’ͺπŸ—“οΈ
  • Meeting Maestro: Organise crucial review meetings for students, inviting everyone needed and documenting the outcomes. Your work helps us see what's working and how we can do better! πŸŽΆπŸ“Š
  • Compliance Champion: Ensure we're following all the important rules and regulations, especially when it comes to supporting students with ALN. You'll help us stay on track and meet deadlines. πŸ’―βš–οΈ
  • Communication Guru: Be the friendly face (or email!) for parents and staff, answering queries about support arrangements and keeping everyone informed and connected. πŸ“§πŸ—£οΈ

Your Apprenticeship Journey:

This isn't just a job; it's a launchpad! You'll dive into a structured training programme:

  • Real-World Experience: Get stuck in with on-the-job training in a school/office environment. πŸ«πŸ’Ό
  • Expert Learning: Off-the-job training will cover essential areas like safeguarding, behaviour management, child development, and effective learning strategies. πŸ§ πŸ’‘
  • Growth & Feedback: Regular assessments and feedback sessions will help you level up your skills. βπŸ“ˆ
  • Skill Boosters: Extra support in literacy, numeracy, and communication to make you unstoppable. πŸ“šπŸ”’πŸ’¬

What We're Looking For:

  • A genuine passion for working in education and supporting young people. ❀️
  • Eagerness to learn and embrace professional development. 🌱
  • Commitment to smashing your apprenticeship goals and earning your qualification. πŸ…
  • Awesome communication, teamwork, and people skills. πŸ—£οΈπŸ‘₯
