You'll be shadowing our awesome senior practitioners and learning the ropes under the manager's guidance. It’s a full-time commitment! 🗓️
What your typical day looks like:
- Setting up the ultimate play and learning zones! 🧸🎨
- Delivering exciting planned activities based on the Curriculum for Excellence. 📚
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of every child. ❤️
- Helping out with yummy snacks, lunches, and dinners. 🍎🥪
- Embracing the outdoors, rain or shine! ☔☀️
This 12-month Modern Apprenticeship leads to an SVQ 3 Social Services Children and Young People qualification. Once you nail it, you'll be a fully qualified Childcare Practitioner! You'll be employed directly by the nursery, with l&g Learning supporting you every step of the way. 💪
Key responsibilities
- Setting up the play environment for a fun filled day of learning
- Implement planned learning experiences in line with the Curriculum for Excellence
- Keep children safe and well at all times
- Assist with snack, lunches and dinners
- Play outdoors in all weather!
Entry requirements
Essential qualifications (You’ll have a head start in this vacancy if you’ve completed a Foundation Apprenticeship in a related field. We’ll need you to provide evidence of your qualification and show you gained the relevant skills from your placement. You should demonstrate a desire to work within the Childcare sector and have some form of relatable experience. Ideally you will have one National 5 qualification including English. However, we understand that not everyone will have achieved this level of qualification and will take this into consideration. Anyone who has completed a Foundation Apprenticeship in Childcare will get direct access to the interview stage.)
