As an Apprentice, you'll be working closely with our senior practitioners and learning directly from the manager. This is a full-time role, so get ready to dive in! 🏊♀️
Your typical day will be packed with:
- Setting up the ultimate play zones for a day of learning and fun! 🧸
- Delivering engaging learning activities based on the Curriculum for Excellence. 💡
- Keeping our little adventurers safe and sound, always. ❤️
- Helping out with yummy snacks and meals. 🍎
- Embracing the outdoors, rain or shine! ☔️☀️
This 12-month apprenticeship will see you earning an SVQ 3 in Social Services: Children and Young People. It's a practical, hands-on qualification that will lead you to become a fully qualified practitioner. You'll be employed by the nursery, and l&g Learning will be with you every step of the way! 💪
Key responsibilities
- Setting up the play environment for a fun filled day of learning
- Implement planned learning experiences in line with the Curriculum for Excellence
- Keep children safe and well at all times
- Assist with snack, lunches and dinners
- Play outdoors in all weather!
Entry requirements
Essential qualifications (You’ll have a head start in this vacancy if you’ve completed a Foundation Apprenticeship in a related field. We’ll need you to provide evidence of your qualification and show you gained the relevant skills from your placement. You should demonstrate a desire to work within the Childcare sector and have some form of relatable experience. Ideally you will have one National 5 qualification including English. However, we understand that not everyone will have achieved this level of qualification and will take this into consideration. Anyone who has completed a Foundation Apprenticeship in Childcare will get direct access to the interview stage.)
