Working with kids is seriously rewarding – you get to inspire their imaginations, help them learn awesome new skills, and shape their futures. ✨ This Modern Apprenticeship is your fast track to becoming a qualified Childcare Practitioner, kitted out with all the essential skills and knowledge.

You'll be working alongside experienced practitioners and training under the manager's guidance in a full-time role. 🌟

Your typical day could involve:

• Setting up an epic play environment for a day of fun and learning! 🎨
• Running cool activities that align with the Curriculum for Excellence. 📚
• Keeping our little ones safe and sound, always! 💖
• Helping out with snack, lunch, and dinner prep. 🍎
• Embracing the outdoors, whatever the weather! ☔☀️

This 12-month apprenticeship will see you earning an SVQ 3 in Social Services: Children and Young People. It's a work-based qualification that will certify you as a qualified Childcare Practitioner upon completion. You'll be employed directly by the nursery, with l&g Learning providing all the training and support you need. 🎓

Key responsibilities

• Implement planned learning experiences in line with the Curriculum for Excellence
• Keep children safe and well at all times
• Assist with snack, lunches and dinners
• Play outdoors in all weather

Entry requirements

Essential qualifications (You’ll have a head start in this vacancy if you’ve completed a Foundation Apprenticeship in a related field. We’ll need you to provide evidence of your qualification and show you gained the relevant skills from your placement. You should demonstrate a desire to work within the Childcare sector and have some form of relatable experience. Ideally you will have one National 5 qualification including English. However, we understand that not everyone will have achieved this level of qualification and will take this into consideration. Anyone who has completed a Foundation Apprenticeship in Childcare will get direct access to the interview stage.)
