As a Modern Apprentice, you'll be working alongside experienced team members, gaining hands-on experience and learning directly from our management team. This is a full-time role, packed with opportunities! 🚀
What You'll Be Doing Day-to-Day:
- 🗺️ Setting up engaging learning environments for a day of fun and exploration!
- 💡 Delivering exciting learning activities aligned with the Curriculum for Excellence.
- 🛡️ Ensuring the safety and well-being of every child, always.
- 🍎 Assisting with meal and snack times.
- 🌳 Embracing the outdoors and playing in all kinds of weather! ☀️🌧️
This fantastic apprenticeship program lasts around 12 months, leading to an SVQ 3 Social Services Children and Young People qualification. 🎓 Once completed, you'll be a fully qualified Childcare Practitioner! You'll be employed directly by the nursery, with l&g Learning providing dedicated support throughout your training journey. 🤝

Entry requirements
Essential qualifications (You’ll have a head start in this vacancy if you’ve completed a Foundation Apprenticeship in a related field. We’ll need you to provide evidence of your qualification and show you gained the relevant skills from your placement. You should demonstrate a desire to work within the Childcare sector and have some form of relatable experience. Ideally you will have one National 5 qualification including English. However, we understand that not everyone will have achieved this level of qualification and will take this into consideration. Anyone who has completed a Foundation Apprenticeship in Childcare will get direct access to the interview stage.)
