Working with kids is next-level. You get to spark young minds, fuel creativity, and teach life-long skills. This Modern Apprenticeship is your fast-track to becoming a fully qualified Childcare Practitioner! 👩🏫👨🏫
You'll be working alongside experienced pros, getting guidance from the manager, and diving headfirst into a full-time role.
Your daily mission could include:
- 🎨 Setting up the coolest play environments for maximum fun and learning.
- 📚 Delivering engaging learning experiences that follow the Curriculum for Excellence.
- 🛡️ Keeping our little superstars safe and sound, always.
- 🍎 Helping out with snacks, lunches, and dinners.
- 🌧️ Embracing the great outdoors, whatever the weather!
This 12-month apprenticeship will see you earning an SVQ Level 3 in Social Services: Children and Young People. Once you nail it, you're officially a qualified practitioner! You'll be employed directly by the nursery, with l&g Learning cheering you on and supporting your training every step of the way. 🙌
Key responsibilities
- Setting up the play environment for a fun filled day of learning
- Implement planned learning experiences in line with the Curriculum for Excellence
- Keep children safe and well at all times
- Assist with snack, lunches and dinners
- Play outdoors in all weather
Entry requirements
Essential qualifications (You’ll have a head start in this vacancy if you’ve completed a Foundation Apprenticeship in a related field. We’ll need you to provide evidence of your qualification and show you gained the relevant skills from your placement. You should demonstrate a desire to work within the Childcare sector and have some form of relatable experience. Ideally you will have one National 5 qualification including English. However, we understand that not everyone will have achieved this level of qualification and will take this into consideration. Anyone who has completed a Foundation Apprenticeship in Childcare will get direct access to the interview stage.)
