Here’s the Lowdown:

• Location: Multiple vacancies in fantastic Private Nurseries across Glasgow 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿. (P.S. There's also a post in Edinburgh EH10!)
• Funding: This awesome opportunity is backed by Skills Development Scotland through the Modern Apprenticeship Scheme. 💰
• Entry Requirements: Don't stress about grades! We assess everyone at the interview stage – your personality and potential are what matter most. 🙌

Hours & Pay:

• Hours: Full-time, 35–40 hours per week. Usually Monday–Friday in nursery, but can vary in Out of School Care settings. ⏰
• Pay: £8 per hour (that's the National Minimum Wage for Modern Apprentices!). 🤑

As a Modern Apprentice, You'll Be:

• Working towards an SCQF Level 7 qualification with our awesome partners, Carousel Training Centre and your Employer. 🤝
• Attending monthly training classes and getting heaps of support from your Assessor. 📚
• Earning your SVQ in Social Services (Children and Young People).
• Building the skills and knowledge to become a qualified Early Years Practitioner in just 12–15 months! 💯

• Team up with our brilliant staff to create a super safe and positive environment for the kids. 🏡
• Be an essential and valued part of our team. 💪
• Help deliver fun, active, and educational activities. 🎉
• Get amazing hands-on experience with children from tiny babies all the way up to pre-school age. 👶👧👦
• Discover how children learn and develop through creative play. 🎨
• Support with personal care tasks like toileting, dressing, and feeding. 🤗
• Chat with parents/carers to support each child’s learning journey. 🗣️
• Help with daily nursery routines, like making snacks and keeping equipment clean. 🧼
• Follow our safeguarding procedures to ensure every child is safe and secure. 🛡️

Key responsibilities

• Work with the staff team to create a safe, positive environment for children.

• Support with personal care tasks (toileting, dressing, feeding).
• Engage with parents/carers to support each child’s learning journey.
• Help with nursery routines, including snack preparation and cleaning equipment.

Entry requirements

Essential qualifications (What We’re Looking For:- • Enthusiastic and confident individuals who want to work in a Nursery or Out of School Care setting. • Good communication skills and a genuine desire to support the development of young children. • The ability to engage and interact enthusiastically with children. No previous experience is required — just passion, commitment, and a willingness to learn.)
