The Deets (Hours & Pay):

• Hours: Full-time: 35–40 hours per week 🗓️ (Monday–Friday in nursery, or flexible hours in Out of School Care settings).
• Pay: £8 per hour (that's the National Minimum Wage for Modern Apprentices!) 💰

As a Modern Apprentice, you'll:

• Work towards an SCQF Level 7 qualification with Carousel Training Centre and your employer. 🎓
• Attend monthly training sessions and get awesome support from an Assessor. 🤝
• Earn your SVQ in Social Services (Children and Young People). ✅
• Gain the skills and knowledge to be a qualified Early Years Practitioner in just 12–15 months! 🚀

Your Mission (Key Responsibilities):

• Create a super safe and positive environment for children. 💖
• Be an awesome, valued member of the team. 🤝
• Help staff deliver fun, active, and educational activities. 🎨
• Get hands-on experience with babies right up to pre-schoolers. 👶
• Learn how kids grow and develop through play. 🧸
• Assist with personal care tasks (like toileting and dressing). 🤗
• Chat with parents and carers to support each child's learning. 🗣️
• Help with daily nursery routines (think snack time and cleaning up!). 🍎
• Follow safeguarding procedures to keep everyone safe and sound. 🛡️

Location: Cambuslang G72 and various Private Nurseries across Glasgow. 📍

Key responsibilities

• Work with the staff team to create a safe, positive environment for children.
• Support staff in delivering fun, active, and educational activities.
• Support with personal care tasks (toileting, dressing, feeding).
• Engage with parents/carers to support each child’s learning journey.
• Help with nursery routines, including snack preparation and cleaning equipment.

Entry requirements

Essential qualifications (What We’re Looking For:- • Enthusiastic and confident individuals who want to work in a Nursery or Out of School Care setting. • Good communication skills and a genuine desire to support the development of young children. • The ability to engage and interact enthusiastically with children. No previous experience is required — just passion, commitment, and a willingness to learn.)
