About the Role:
XCM is going all-in on the cloud, and you'll be right there with us! 💻 You'll build serious skills in Azure, networking, automation, and infrastructure, all while working alongside seasoned engineers. We'll start by focusing on your learning through top-notch training, mentorship, and shadowing. As you gain confidence, you'll take on more responsibility, supporting real business systems and projects. By the end of this program, you'll have a recognized qualification, killer industry experience, and a solid launchpad for a career in cloud engineering. 🌟
What You'll Be Doing (Responsibilities):
- Master the basics of Microsoft Azure, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and identity management. 🔑
- Help out with routine system admin tasks, managing user access, and keeping an eye on things. 👀
- Grasp networking concepts like IP addressing, DNS, firewalls, and VPNs. 🌐
- Craft simple scripts in PowerShell and Python to automate everyday tasks. 🤖
- Get familiar with awesome tools like Git, Terraform, and Kubernetes. 🛠️
- Assist with maintenance, updates, and cloud projects – with supervision, of course! 💪
- Collaborate closely with your mentor and the wider engineering team. 🤝
- Keep everyone in the loop about your progress, ask questions, and get the support you need. 🤔
- Build connections across our engineering, security, data, and product teams. 🧑💻

Entry Requirements:
- 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject.
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above).
- Must not have an existing qualification at the same or higher level in a similar subject.
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week. ⏰
