Ready to kickstart your career in health and social care? ๐ง This 15-month apprenticeship with Change Grow Live (CGL) is your chance to level up with an Adult Care Worker Level 2 qualification while gaining real-world experience. You'll be a vital part of our awesome team, supporting individuals on their recovery journey. ๐ช
What you'll be doing:
- Be there for service users from the moment they connect with us through their entire recovery path. ๐ค๏ธ
- Learn to screen, assess, provide support, and help with recovery plans. ๐
- Help tackle drug and alcohol-related harm for our service users and the community. ๐
- Boost involvement from carers, service users, and the community. ๐ฃ
- Advocate for service users to access partner services. ๐ค
- Support people to rebuild their lives, find purpose, and embrace recovery, resilience, and self-determination. โจ
Especially in the prison setting, you'll:
- Deliver support groups and one-on-one sessions. ๐ฃ๏ธ
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers. ๐ฅ
- Work with prison stakeholders to ensure smooth service user treatment. ๐
- Get creative to make sure our service meets everyone's needs, especially those who might be harder to reach. ๐ก
- Create a safe, confidential, and therapeutic space for everyone. ๐ก
- Assess suitability for groups, considering risks and special needs, and coordinate with prison partners. ๐

Key responsibilities
- Supporting service users from point of entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journey
- With training, provide screening, assessment, psychosocial interventions, recovery planning and onward referral
- Learn about and support reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community
- Deliver psychosocial interventions as part of the Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service within the prison estate
- To deliver group-based interventions as well as providing 1:1 support for hard to engage service users
