About the role

🚀 Join our team as a Teaching Assistant Apprentice! 🚀

Are you ready to kickstart a career that makes a real difference? We're on the lookout for a dedicated and super enthusiastic individual to join our organisation as a Teaching Assistant Apprentice. This isn't just a job; it's your chance to be a vital part of our awesome classroom support team, working hand-in-hand with teachers to boost pupils' learning, growth, and overall wellbeing. 🤩

In this role, you'll be shadowing class teachers and experienced support staff, helping to create and deliver engaging learning activities. You'll also provide that extra bit of support to pupils, whether it's one-on-one or in small groups. 🤝 This apprenticeship is the perfect blend of real-world classroom experience and structured training, designed to equip you with the skills, knowledge, and confidence you need to smash it in a future career in education.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting pupils like a champ during lessons. 📚
  • Helping get the classroom ready and sorting out learning resources. ✂️
  • Championing positive behaviour and helping us create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning space. ✨

We might also ask you to support pupils with additional needs, encouraging their independence, and lending a hand with pastoral or lunchtime duties when needed. 🍎

On a daily basis, you'll be reporting to the class teacher and collaborating closely with fellow teaching assistants, the SENCo, and pastoral staff. Don't worry, you'll get loads of support, mentoring, and training throughout your apprenticeship, plus opportunities to grow professionally. 🌱

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Lending a hand to the class teacher in delivering learning activities across all subjects.
  • Working with pupils individually or in small groups to reinforce learning and help them progress.
  • Contributing to a positive, inclusive, and well-organised classroom environment.
  • Supporting pupils with additional needs, helping them access learning and build independence.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting emotional wellbeing, following our school policies.
  • Assisting with classroom preparation, learning resources, and creating cool displays. 🎨
  • Observing and recording pupil progress, sharing your insights with the class teacher.
  • Supporting pupils during transitions, breaktimes, lunchtimes, or other supervised activities.
  • Working as a team with teaching assistants, teachers, SENCo, and pastoral staff.
  • Upholding confidentiality and following all safeguarding, health and safety, and data protection procedures.
  • Fully engaging with your apprenticeship training, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.

Let's build something amazing together! 💪
