What You'll Be Doing:

• Master the Craft: Learn to expertly shape, cut, and work with timber and other building materials.
• Build and Install: Get hands-on experience installing a range of finishes, including partitions, doors, staircases, window frames, and mouldings. 🚪
• Structural Foundations: Contribute to erecting essential structural components like floor joists and roofs. 📏
• Safety First: Always prioritize safety, using the right tools and adhering to high-quality standards on every task. ✅
• On-Site Learning: The majority of your training and development will happen directly on our construction sites. 👷‍♀️👷‍♂️
• Skills Centre Boost: Attend our dedicated Skills Group training centre one day per week to hone your skills and gain theoretical knowledge. 📚
• Expert Guidance: Receive regular support and progress monitoring from your assigned Skills Group assessor every six to eight weeks. 💯

What You'll Need:

• Successful completion of the Level 2 Carpentry and Joinery Standard (Site).
• Pass the Construction Skills Health, Safety and Environment test (CSCS Test).
• A willingness to learn, a strong work ethic, and a keen eye for detail. 💪
• Reliability and a commitment to attending training sessions. ⏰

Key responsibilities

• Attending the Skills Group training centre one day per week

• Installing finished materials such as partitions, doors, and timber floor coverings
• Erecting structural components including floor joists and roofs
• Carrying out all work safely, using appropriate tools and to the quality specified
