You'll be the friendly voice connecting with the public, our amazing clinical teams, and external partners, playing a key role in keeping healthcare running smoothly across the South Coast. π₯ Based at the Royal South Hants Hospital in Southampton, this position is perfect for outgoing individuals who are comfortable chatting on the phone and navigating information systems. π
Our service operates 7 days a week, 8 am to 8 pm, including all bank holidays. ποΈ You'll be part of a roster covering early, late, and weekend shifts (with potential for enhanced pay! π°), and you'll get your rota 6 weeks in advance β giving you plenty of time to plan your downtime. π₯³

Your Mission:
- Answer all incoming calls with efficiency, courtesy, and professionalism. π
- Maintain top-notch work standards and professionalism at all times. πͺ
- Accurately record all data in templates or patient records. π»
- Take and deliver messages or schedule appointments for patients and healthcare professionals. βοΈ
- Handle instructions and queries from healthcare professionals using our policies, procedures, and resources. π

Key responsibilities
- Communicate with members of the public, clinical teams, and external stakeholders
- Answer all telephone calls in an efficient, courteous, professional, and non-judgemental manner
- Record all data accurately in templates or in patients' computerised records
- Ensure messages from all callers are taken and electronically delivered or appointed to the correct service
- Manage instructions and queries from Healthcare Professionals using policies, procedures, and information systems

Essential qualifications (Essential Educated to GSCE Grade 4 or above in English and Maths or equivalent standard)
