We're on the hunt for a driven individual to join our awesome pharmacy team and train to become a registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). This isn't just any apprenticeship; it's a journey across different sectors! You'll get hands-on experience with the London Ambulance Service NHS Trust and our awesome training partner, Barts Health NHS Trust, at the renowned St Bartholomew's Hospital. 🏥
This is a two-year apprenticeship program kicking off in March 2027. We'll be with you every step of the way, equipping you with the knowledge, skills, and behaviors you need to qualify and get registered. Get ready to learn, grow, and make a real impact! ✨
What You'll Need to Apply:
- A minimum of five GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C/4 or above.
- English Language, Mathematics, and Science must be among your GCSEs, plus two other subjects. 📚
- Eligibility for a UK apprenticeship (make sure any visas cover the entire apprenticeship duration!). 🇬🇧
What You'll Be Doing:
- Conquering the BTEC Level 3 Diploma in the Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians Qualification. 🎓
- Rotating through different placements, building up your skills and expertise as per the BTEC qualification. You'll have dedicated supervisors to guide you! 🧑🏫
- Working under the wing of experienced Pharmacy Technicians, you’ll:
- Set learning goals, gather evidence, and get assessed.
- Attend college weekly and take ownership of your learning. 🤓
- Collect evidence and prep for assessments during your work time.
- Dive into a variety of tasks: dispensing meds for patients, supplying medicines to wards, managing stock, and supporting medicine optimisation. 💊
All your duties will be done under expert supervision, following our strict procedures. You'll be a crucial part of ensuring patients receive the right medicines! We’ll also have you assembling and checking London Ambulance Service drug packs, keeping everything compliant with UK laws. ✅

Key responsibilities
- Undertake the BTEC Level 3 Diploma in the Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians Qualification.
- Work on a rotational basis, gaining competencies and experience as defined by the BTEC Level 3 Diploma.
- Undertake a wide range of rotational duties, including dispensing, supplying medicines, and stock management.
- Participate in all dispensing activities in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Assemble and check London Ambulance Service drug packs.
