About the role

Digital Customer Support Apprentice 🚀

Apleona UK, a global facilities management powerhouse with over 40 years of experience, is on the hunt for a motivated individual to join our team as a Digital Customer Support Apprentice! We keep over 1500 staff and 520+ operational sites across the UK running smoothly, handling everything from energy management to waste control for both public and private sectors. 🌍

The Gig:

As our Digital Customer Support Apprentice, you'll be the first line of defence for facilities management on the FedEx UK account, working within our helpdesk. You'll be coordinating services, managing requests, liaising with engineers and subcontractors, and ensuring we hit our service level agreements (SLAs) to keep things running like clockwork for FedEx. ⚙️

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Be the go-to person for all facilities-related queries for over 100 FedEx UK locations, handling calls and emails. 📞📧
  • Become a whizz with Navison, our system for logging and tracking all job requests. 💻
  • Schedule and dispatch engineers for urgent fixes and planned maintenance, making sure issues are sorted ASAP. 🛠️
  • Keep an eye on our shared email inbox for new job tickets on the client portal and assign them to the right engineers. 👀
  • Maintain super-accurate records of service requests and maintenance activities in Navison. 📝
  • Dive into the client portal to grab extra job details, including photos and comments from the client, and pass them to our engineering teams. 📸
  • Team up with our engineers across the UK to confirm job completion and collect their timesheets so you can create purchase orders (POs) for the client. 🤝
  • Use SharePoint as our central hub for sharing info across sites, teams, and the wider Apleona family. 📁
  • Generate reports using Excel to keep everyone in the loop on job progress. 📊
  • Collaborate with colleagues using Microsoft Teams and Zoom for meetings. 🗣️
  • Use Outlook to update engineers and clients on job progress and for general business communication. ✉️

Skills We're Looking For:

  • Tech-savvy and comfortable with Microsoft packages. 💡
  • A true team player. 🙌
  • Organised and proactive. ✅
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. ✍️🗣️
  • Punctual and reliable. ⏰

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm. ☀️

Perks:

  • Employee discounts through Perkbox. 💰
  • Cycle to Work scheme. 🚲
  • Access to a virtual GP. 🩺
  • Health & Wellbeing app. ❤️

Your Future:

We're super proud that 90% of our QA apprentices land permanent jobs after finishing their course – that's 20% higher than the national average! 🎉 You'll be fully supported by a dedicated QA skills coach and an in-house mentor, helping you master your role and smash your assessments. You'll gain a nationally recognised SCQF Level 6 qualification along with invaluable work experience.
