About the Role

As a Software Engineering Apprentice, you'll level up your technical smarts, practical skills, and professional game to become a confident and capable engineer. πŸ§‘β€πŸ’»

You'll join our awesome Software Engineering team, helping to deliver slick software solutions and keeping projects on track and on budget. 🎯

Your mission might include:

  • Helping shape system requirements and designs.
  • Building software solutions that actually solve business problems.

The Apprenticeship Programme

You'll be working towards a Level 6 Digital and Technology Solutions Degree Apprenticeship with the brilliant Manchester Metropolitan University. πŸ›οΈ

You’ll get a broad skill set across the digital and tech world. Learn how information systems rock, how software is built and tested, and how data and cybersecurity play a role in real businesses. Plus, get the lowdown on business organisation, IT project management, and computer/network setups. 🌐

Your learning is a blend of taught units and real-world projects, tackling actual business scenarios. You’ll have experienced pros guiding you every step of the way.

For 4 epic years, you'll hit Manchester Met Uni one day a week and spend the other four days at our Cheadle site, putting your learning into practice on live projects with your squad. πŸ™Œ By the end, you’ll be a Software Engineer with Thales UK!

The programme uses a cool blended learning approach:

Entry Requirements

Ready to apply? You'll need:

  • 104 UCAS points (e.g., A Levels: BCC)
  • OR an equivalent qualification like a BTEC Extended Diploma (DDM) or T Level (Merit).
  • AND 5 GCSEs at Grade 9-4/A-C, including Maths and English.
