About the Role:

As a Cloud Assurance and Cyber Security Apprentice, you'll get hands-on experience protecting cloud platforms and keeping systems secure. You'll be part of safeguarding critical systems and get a taste of government-level security operations. 🛡️

What You'll Learn:

  • Cloud Security Monitoring: Keep our public cloud (like Azure & Google Cloud) safe and secure, following government rules. ☁️
  • Incident Response: Help investigate security breaches and sort out issues fast in sensitive environments. 🚨
  • Security Auditing: Check cloud systems to make sure they're following all the rules and regulations. ✅
  • Risk & Vulnerability Assessments: Spot weaknesses in cloud services and help make them stronger. 💪
  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure our cloud setups meet government standards like GDPR and NCSC guidelines. 📜
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with cloud experts and engineers to build security into everything we do. 🤝
  • Continuous Learning: Grow your skills with training and certifications in cloud security and government standards. 📚

The Apprenticeship:

This is a 24-month journey, leading to a Level 4 Cyber Security Engineer qualification. You'll learn through live online lectures and digital resources, culminating in an End Point Assessment. Then, you'll seamlessly transition into your permanent role with us. 💻

Your Entry Ticket:

  • An A-Level in ICT, IB Level 3 in ICT, a Level 3 apprenticeship in a similar field, or a BTEC Extended Diploma in IT (180 credits). 🎓
  • 5 GCSEs (Grade 9-4/A-C) including English and Maths. ✍️
