About the Role:
As a Finance Apprentice, you'll be the backbone of our finance department, supporting various activities and getting hands-on experience in a professional setting. Your mission could involve:
- Helping with daily finance tasks and projects.
- Sorting out timesheet and labour booking issues.
- Assisting with monthly financial report prep and distribution.
- Supporting cost, overhead, and headcount reporting.
- Jumping into budget planning, forecasting, and reforecasting.
- Helping with cost centre reviews and management reports.
- Keeping financial records sharp and doing reconciliations.
- Supporting project finance tasks like cost transfers and closures.
- Assisting with financial journals, accruals, prepayments, and corrections.
- Tackling ad hoc finance projects and business activities.
- Creating reports and digging into data analysis.
- Handling any other finance-related tasks that come your way.
What You'll Master:
- The ins and outs of finance processes, systems, and business operations.
- Financial reporting and analysis like a pro.
- Budgeting, forecasting, and cost management techniques.
- Balance sheet reconciliations and robust financial controls.
- Cash flow forecasting and invoice management.

The Apprenticeship Journey:
You'll start with a Level 2 Accounts Assistant Apprenticeship (12 months), then progress to a Level 3 Assistant Accountant (15 months), all delivered virtually with our training partner, The Apprentice Academy. You'll gain practical skills and the confidence to excel. Upon completion, you'll have an AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate and a Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accounting! 🎓
Entry Requirements:
- 5 GCSEs at grades 9-4 (A-C), including English and Maths. 💯
Security Clearance:
Please note that due to the nature of our work, all roles require security clearance. You'll need to have the permanent right to work in the UK and be able to pass government security checks (BPSS and SC). This typically means living in the UK continuously for the last five years. 🇬🇧
