About the Role:

As a Data Scientist Apprentice, you'll be the go-to for curiosity and problem-solving using data. You'll work with all sorts of data, tools, and tech to spot trends, create predictive models, and give businesses the insights they need to make awesome decisions. You’ll learn to transform raw data into game-changing business intelligence and help build data-driven solutions that make a real impact. 📈

Your Mission (Responsibilities May Include):

  • Identifying business puzzles and using data science to find solutions. 🧩
  • Collecting, cleaning, and making sense of data from everywhere. 🗂️
  • Building expertise in: Data Science & Analytics, Machine Learning & AI, Stats, Data Engineering, Data Viz & Storytelling, and Programming (Python, SQL). 💻🐍
  • Helping to build and test predictive models. 🔮
  • Working with teams to create data products and dashboards that everyone uses. 📊
  • Making sure our analytical solutions are top-notch and always improving. ✅

What You'll Master:

You'll gain epic skills in data collection, prep, and management, mastering statistical methods, Python & SQL, machine learning, data visualisation, AI fundamentals, and more! Plus, you'll learn how to communicate your findings to anyone, understand business needs, and work like a pro in agile teams. 🚀

Apprenticeship Deets:

This is a 42-month Level 6 Data Scientist Apprenticeship with The University of Nottingham, blending on-campus learning, online study, and workplace experience. Expect about 4 weeks of university per year, in 1-week blocks.

Entry Requirements:

  • A Levels: 3 A Levels (BBC), including Maths. 🧮 (Sorry, Citizenship Skills, General Studies, and Critical Thinking don't count).
  • GCSEs: Minimum 5 GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above, including English Language and Maths (Maths at Grade 5/C or above). 💯
  • OR: A Level 4 Data Analyst qualification might be considered.
  • *Note: If you already have a relevant degree, this program isn't for you.*
