About the Role
This Project Planning & Controls Apprenticeship is your chance to become an essential part of the Bid and Project Management team at Thales. You'll build a solid understanding of planning, scheduling, monitoring, and controls, setting you up for future roles shaping world-leading solutions for our global customers. Our Bid and Project Management functions are all about supporting project delivery, ensuring strong governance, and rolling out consistent, assured processes.

The Apprenticeship Programme
This is a 2-year higher apprenticeship working towards the SCQF Level 8 Project Manager Apprenticeship standard with our partner training provider. You'll gain insight into Project Management from the ground up with a major industry player. Expect tailored on-the-job training alongside your studies, giving you the practical skills and knowledge you need. The programme is delivered virtually, combining:

- Self-directed learning activities 🧑💻
Upon successful completion, you'll join the Thales UK Bid and Project Management job family as a Project Planner or Project Controller. We're looking for motivated individuals who are keen to learn, can manage their time, show initiative, and have a genuine passion for project planning/controls and Thales. You'll need self-discipline and a drive to achieve your qualification.
Entry Requirements:
- 2 Highers grade C or above (any subject) OR equivalent Level 3 qualification.
- 5 standards grade A-C, including English and Maths.

Eligibility:
You must have the permanent right to work in the UK and be able to successfully complete and maintain UK Government security checks (BPSS and SC clearance). This typically means having lived in the UK continuously for the last five years. You'll need to provide evidence of your identity, right to work, time spent overseas, and employment/education history.
