About the Role:

This awesome Project Planning & Controls Apprenticeship at Thales will equip you with the skills to be a total boss in our Bid and Project Management teams. You'll build a solid understanding of planning, scheduling, monitoring, and controls – the building blocks for managing projects that deliver world-leading solutions globally. 🌍 Our teams are key to project success, ensuring strong governance over bids and projects and keeping our processes sharp.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Helping to build and maintain the main project schedules. 🗓️
  • Contributing to project reports and joining review meetings. 📝
  • Getting involved in tracking and reporting risks and opportunities. ⚠️
  • Ensuring projects are run smoothly and according to plan. 👍
  • Using Thales UK tools to manage project schedules, budgets, risks, and opportunities. 💻
  • Committing to all parts of the apprenticeship: virtual training, 1-2-1 coaching, assignments, exams, and mandatory Thales UK training. Get ready to help us grow! 🌱

Your Apprenticeship Journey:

This isn't just any apprenticeship; it's a high-level one where you'll learn the ins and outs of Project Management from the ground up, with one of the biggest names in the game. You'll get on-the-job training that fits perfectly with your studies, giving you the practical skills and knowledge employers are looking for. We use a blended learning approach, mixing on-campus sessions with self-directed learning.

This is a 3-year programme, working towards a Pearson BTEC Level 5 Higher National Diploma in Business at Belfast Metropolitan College. 🏫

We're looking for motivated, committed, and enthusiastic individuals who are keen to learn. If you're a self-starter who can manage your time, show initiative, and have a real passion for project planning/controls and Thales, we want to hear from you! 💪 Self-discipline and a drive to achieve your qualification are key.

Entry Requirements:

  • 64 UCAS points at A Level, or a BTEC diploma or a Level 3 apprenticeship.
  • 5 GCSEs graded 9-4 (A-C), including Maths and English.
