What's the Gig?

As a Manufacturing Technician Apprentice, you’ll build the technical know-how, practical skills, and professional swagger to become a totally capable Manufacturing Technician. You'll be part of our awesome Industry team, helping deliver products and equipment solutions, keeping projects on track and on budget.

The Full Modern Apprenticeship Deal:

This is a full Modern Apprenticeship, leading to SVQ PEO Level 2, Diploma 7, and an HNC qualification. After 4 years, you'll be a fully qualified Engineer! πŸ’―

  • Year 1: First 6 months are all about SVQ PEO Level 2 and HNC at college. Then, you'll be on-site at our Glasgow Thales location for your first placement. 🏫➑️🏭
  • Years 2 & 3: Rotate through production work cells, building a range of core skills in Assembly and Test manufacturing. Your training will be recorded and verified to Diploma 7/SVQ standards. πŸ“ˆ
  • Year 4: Nail your Diploma 7 Work Based Learning to get the full qualification. Then, level up into roles like Integration and Test Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering, Product System Testing, Inspection, Optical Testing, and Environmental Testing. We'll even review further education options for you! πŸš€
