π Craft Aerostructures Apprentice - Airbus Broughton π
Ready to launch your career in aerospace? βοΈ Airbus Broughton is looking for enthusiastic and hands-on individuals to join our 36-month Craft Aerostructures Apprenticeship program! Youβll be at the heart of manufacturing wings for our world-class A320, A330, and A350 aircraft families. What You'll Be Doing:
Immerse yourself in real-world aircraft manufacturing! Youβll get hands-on experience with live aircraft projects while completing your academic studies. You'll benefit from our Gen A support network and learning HUB, designed to give all our early career talent extra support, networking events, and amazing opportunities. β¨
- Year 1 (Coleg Cambria, Deeside): Build your foundation with NVQ Level 2 in Performing Engineering Operations, City and Guild 2675 Level 2 in Aircraft Engineering, and Level 2 Essential Skills. π§
- Years 2 & 3 (Airbus Broughton): Your learning takes flight! Join our team at Broughton, North Wales, and work on aircraft wing production for our Single Aisle and Wide body families. Youβll rotate through different areas every 6 months to gain diverse experience. Your tasks will include setting templates, precision drilling and bolting, and final fitting of wing box components like spars, stringers, ribs, and skins. π οΈ You'll continue your studies on day release, working towards a Level 3 NVQ Extended Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering and an Advanced Manufacturing Engineering BTEC L3 Certificate. π
Upon successful completion, you'll be a skilled aircraft fitter, ready to assemble metallic and composite components for our world-class aircraft, armed with a Modern Apprenticeship Certificate and a fantastic career path ahead. π

Who We're Looking For:
To be eligible for this apprenticeship, you need:
- A minimum of five GCSEs:
- Grade C or 4 in Maths (GCSE certificate only)
- Grade C or 4 in English Language (GCSE certificate only)
- Grade CC or 44 in Double Award Science OR Grade C/4 in Single Award Physics
- Plus 2 other GCSEs at Grade C or 4. Equivalent or higher qualifications in practical/technical subjects (like Design & Technology or Engineering) may be considered for these additional two GCSEs. π
