What you'll be doing:
- Application Powerhouse: Review applications to make sure they meet all the technical requirements of Building Regulations. 📄 Think of it as being the guardian of building standards!

- Danger Zone Navigator: In emergencies, you'll help manage dangerous buildings and structures, liaising with emergency services and contractors. 🚨 A critical role in ensuring public safety.
- Demolition Duty: After training, you'll assess demolition applications and issue notices. 💥
- Registration Ready: Develop the skills and knowledge to achieve Class 2A registration with the Building Safety Regulator. 🚀 Your professional development is our priority.
- Customer Champion: Guide customers through the building control process for new homes and conversions, ensuring a positive experience. 😊

What we're looking for:
- Experience in the built environment sector OR a Level 4 qualification in Building Control Surveying, Building Surveying, Construction, Building Studies, or a related field. 🎓
- A willingness to learn and develop new skills. 💪
- Great communication and teamwork abilities. 💬

Key responsibilities
- Administer daily control of building work and examine applications for Building Regulations compliance.
- Undertake site inspections, maintain accurate records, and attend meetings with stakeholders.
- Investigate alleged breaches of Building Regulations and assist with the preparation of evidence for legal proceedings.
- Control dangerous buildings and structures during office hours, including inspections and implementing emergency procedures.
- Assess applications for demolition and issue demolition counter notices following a period of training.
