IT Support Technician 🚀

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Getting your hands dirty with desktop and server hardware installations and builds. 🛠️
  • Working in data centres to set up new racks, servers, storage, and network devices. ⚡
  • Diagnosing and fixing any hardware or software issues. 💡
  • Providing top-notch first-line user support, both in-person and over the phone. 📞
  • Travelling to client sites across England to tackle issues and work on cool projects. 🌍
  • Being a star team player, ready to jump in and help out during busy times. 🤝
  • Occasionally, you might be away from home for project work, so get ready for some adventure! ✈️

What You'll Bring:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a client-facing IT support role.
  • An IT degree (minimum 2:2) or equivalent practical experience. 🎓
  • Certifications like MCP, MCITP, A+, and CCENT are a big plus. 👍
  • Solid knowledge of PC, laptop, server, and printer hardware. 🖥️
  • Familiarity with Windows Server, networking, Active Directory, Apple/MAC devices, and Citrix is awesome! 🍏
  • Expertise with desktop operating systems (XP, Vista, Windows 7, 8, 10) and MAC OSX.
  • Experience installing and configuring peripherals like network printers and routers. 🌐
  • Data centre experience? Even better!
  • A CCNA certification would be a bonus.

Key responsibilities

  • Install and build desktop/server hardware, delivering to customer environments.
  • Install rack, servers, storage, and network devices within data centres.
  • Repair or troubleshoot faulty equipment, installing and configuring hardware and software.
  • Resolve first-line user support requests both onsite and over the phone.
  • Travel to client sites to address issues requiring an onsite presence and support project works.
