  • Inspiring students to stay focused and excited during lessons and activities. ✨
  • Sharing the joy of reading by listening to students read and reading alongside them. 📚
  • Championing students' social and emotional growth, and flagging any concerns to the teacher. ❤️
  • Working with teachers to create a positive classroom vibe and encourage good behaviour. 👍
  • Pitching in with lesson planning, activity prep, and getting classroom resources ready. 📝
  • Keeping an eye on student progress, offering guidance, and celebrating wins! 🎉
  • Sharing valuable insights with teachers about how students are developing. 🗣️
  • Getting involved in exciting extracurriculars, from breakfast to after-school clubs. ⚽
  • Assisting with lunchtime duties – keeping everyone happy and fed! 🍎
  • Handling general classroom admin and preparing all sorts of cool learning materials. ✂️

Key responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils throughout the school day and helping them engage with their learning.
  • Delivering tailored learning activities to pupils individually or in small groups.
  • Supporting pupils’ social and emotional development and reporting concerns to the teacher.
  • Helping teachers manage classroom behaviour and encouraging positive conduct.
  • Assisting with planning and preparing lessons, activities, and classroom resources.
