What you'll be doing:
- 📞 Answering phone calls and responding to emails from parents, staff, and suppliers.
- 👋 Greeting parents and visitors with a friendly smile upon arrival.
- 📅 Managing bookings and nursery places, including keeping children's attendance records up-to-date.
- 📝 Updating databases and records, such as contact details, attendance, and emergency information.
- 💷 Assisting with invoices and payments, including recording fees and following up on any outstanding amounts.
- 📁 Filing and organizing documents, both digitally and physically.
- 📊 Using software like Excel to track information and create simple spreadsheets.
- 👩💼 Supporting the Nursery Manager with tasks like preparing documents, letters, reports, or meeting notes.
- 🧑🤝🧑 Communicating with parents, potentially helping with questions about bookings, fees, or nursery policies.
- 🔐 Handling confidential information about children and families with the utmost care and discretion.
- 🛒 Ordering office and nursery supplies and keeping a close eye on stock levels.
- 🏥 Assisting with maintaining records related to staff training, qualifications, policies, and compliance.
