Your mission? To smash your tasks in line with the project timeline. 🎯 You'll be interpreting and following instructions from your supervisors like a boss. 🗣️ Plus, you'll learn to read and use drawings and specifications, becoming a true construction interpreter. 🧐

We'll equip you with the skills to select and manage all the tools and materials you need. 🛠️ You'll learn how to move, handle, and store everything safely and legally. 📦 Get ready to become a whiz with power tools and equipment, from compactor plates to laser levels! ✨

You'll be mixing mortars and concrete like a pro, using both hands and mixers. 🥣 And when it comes to setting out, you'll be using basic equipment like tape measures, levels, and even laser gear, all under expert guidance. 📏

Your role will involve setting up and removing temporary protection and safety measures, like barriers and notices. 🚧 You'll install and test basic drainage and ducting systems. 💧 You'll be measuring, marking, cutting, and installing geo-membranes to stabilize soil and preparing excavations. ⛏️

Get hands-on with concrete: you'll transport, place, compact, and finish concrete for slabs, bases, and paths, even positioning reinforcement and kerbs. 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️ You'll be laying flags, paviours, and edging for paths and driveways, adding that finishing touch. 🧱 We'll show you how to install ironworks like access covers and frames, and gully grates. 🌟

Discover buried utility services using special electronic tools. 📡 You'll provide and remove temporary works, including shallow excavation support. ⛰️ You'll be forming and reinstating excavations and surfaces to the correct sub-grades and bases. 📈 And to top it all off, you'll learn to direct and guide the movement of vehicles, plant, and machinery safely. 🚚🚜

Key responsibilities

• Adhere to health, safety, welfare, and environmentally responsible work practices.
• Interpret and follow verbal and written work instructions, drawings, and specifications.
• Select, use, and maintain a range of power tools and setting out equipment.
• Gauge and mix mortars and concrete, and perform concrete placing, compacting, and finishing tasks.
• Install temporary protection, basic drainage, geo-membranes, paving, and reinstate excavations and surfaces.
