Ready to build your future? We're looking for motivated individuals to join our team as Bricklaying Apprentices! You'll be mentored by experienced pros on a variety of cool domestic construction projects, honing your skills in bricklaying and all things building. π οΈ
What you'll be doing:
- Helping set out projects and get building sites ready. ποΈ
- Mixing mortar and prepping bricks and blocks. π§±
- Moving materials and keeping the workspace looking sharp. π§Ή
- As you grow, you'll be building walls, corners, and openings, mastering the art of masonry. πͺ
- Learning to read blueprints, measure accurately, and use essential tools. π
- Getting to grips with modern construction techniques like damp-proofing, insulation, and cavity walls. π‘
- Assisting with demolition, drainage, and other general building tasks. π·

Key responsibilities
- Assist with various aspects of bricklaying and general building tasks, including setting out work, preparing areas, mixing mortar, and handling materials.
- Carry out brickwork and blockwork as skills develop, learning to read drawings, take measurements, and use tools accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety procedures and wearing appropriate PPE.
- Support general building tasks such as demolition, alterations, and drainage, where appropriate.
- Care for tools and equipment, and work responsibly alongside other trades.
