What You'll Be Doing (The Awesome Stuff):
- Providing brilliant, person-centred care and support in homes and the community. ๐ก
- Helping folks with personal care โ think washing, dressing, grooming, and keeping fresh. โจ
- Supporting daily living โ from whipping up tasty meals ๐ to helping with everyday tasks around the house.
- Championing independence, dignity, privacy, and choice โ always respecting individual preferences. ๐
- Assisting with mobility, transfers, and safe moving techniques. ๐คธ
- Being a friendly face and offering companionship, encouraging social connection. ๐ค
- Supporting with medication as per care plans and training. ๐
- Following individual care plans and keeping accurate, confidential records. ๐
- Spotting and reporting any safeguarding concerns or changes in health. ๐จ
- Keeping things safe and hygienic by following infection control, health & safety rules. ๐งผ
- Chatting effectively with service users, families, colleagues, and other professionals. ๐ฃ๏ธ
- Working hand-in-hand with senior care staff and supervisors for safe and sound care. ๐ค
- Attending all training, supervision, and apprenticeship learning sessions. ๐
- Crushing your coursework and assessments to nail your Level 2 Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship. ๐
