What you'll be doing:

  • Helping to create beautiful solid and engineered timber flooring โ€“ from prepping and machining to sanding and finishing.
  • Mastering joinery and carpentry techniques while contributing to unique timber creations.
  • Learning to operate woodworking machinery and tools safely under expert guidance. ๐Ÿงฐ
  • Selecting, measuring, and preparing timber for various manufacturing projects.
  • Assisting our experienced team with cutting, assembling, and finishing products.
  • Ensuring top-notch quality by checking timber and finished goods. โœ…
  • Gaining knowledge about different timber species, grades, and how to best use them. ๐ŸŒฒ
  • Helping to organize and store timber and materials efficiently.
  • Keeping our workshop tidy, safe, and organized. ๐Ÿงผ
  • Following all health and safety procedures and mastering safe working practices.

This is a super hands-on role where you'll learn all about woodworking, joinery, carpentry, and timber flooring manufacture from the best. Every day is different, and you'll see the entire process from start to finish! ๐Ÿš€

Key responsibilities

  • Assisting with the manufacture of timber flooring and bespoke timber products
  • Learning safe operation of woodworking machinery and hand and power tools
  • Selecting, measuring, marking, and preparing timber for manufacturing jobs
  • Checking timber and finished products for quality, ensuring high manufacturing standards
  • Maintaining clean, organised, and safe work areas, following health and safety procedures
