What You'll Be Doing:

  • Learning the Ropes: You'll dive into the world of healthcare engineering, from diagnosing and fixing equipment issues 🛠️ to installing new systems.
  • Hands-On Experience: Get ready to manufacture, assemble, erect, and test new installations and improvements, always with safety first.

Eligibility:

  • To qualify for government funding, you must have been ordinarily resident in the UK for at least three years before starting the apprenticeship. This means living in the UK for most of the past three years without significant absences.

Key responsibilities

  • Follow instructions, training, and guidance to achieve the Apprenticeship Standard.
  • Diagnose, fault find, and repair faults on a wide range of plant, equipment and services.
  • Manufacture, assemble, erect, install and test new work including minor improvements.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and statutory inspections and testing of plant, equipment and services.
  • Participate in systems of work and complete all necessary paperwork to Statutory and Trust requirements.

Entry requirements

Essential qualifications (Essential Minimum Grade B / 5 GCSE or equivalent in Mathematics Minimum Grade C / 4 GCSE or equivalent in 4 other subjects to include English and a science-based subject)
