What you'll be doing:
- Working alongside our expert Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Dispensers, and Assistants to provide top-notch pharmaceutical care. 🤝
- Ensuring the safe, appropriate, and cost-effective use of medicines for all our service users. 💖
- Rotating across Pharmacy Departments at Sunderland Royal Hospital, South Tyneside District Hospital, and CHoICE. 🏥
- Learning the ropes of hospital pharmacy to become a qualified Pharmacy Technician, working towards the Pharmacy Technician (Integrated) Apprenticeship standard. 📚🎓
- Undertaking a variety of essential duties under supervision, like:
- Receiving and storing medicines. 📦
- Accurately dispensing prescriptions. ✅
- Advising patients on how to use their medicines safely. 👩⚕️
- Being part of our Integrated Medicines Management Service. 💯

Key responsibilities
- Order receipt and storage of medicines

Entry requirements
Essential qualifications (Essential A minimum of four GCSE (or equivalent) Grade C or above (new grade 4-9) including Maths, English Language, Biology, Chemistry (or Dual award Science/Buttercups Level 2 Foundation in Science for Pharmacy Technicians) in line with GPhC guidance and course provider requirements. Desirable A minimum of four GCSE (or equivalent) Grade B or above (new grade 6 or above) including Maths, English Language, Biology, Chemistry (or Dual award Science/ Buttercups Level 2 Foundation in Science for Pharmacy Technicians) in line with GPhC guidance and course provider requirements.)
