About the Role:

As an IT Technician Apprentice, you'll be at the heart of our education-focused tech services. Your mission? To help schools feel totally comfortable and confident using tech for teaching and learning by providing awesome technical support. You'll be a go-to for 1st line problem-solving and network management, building solid relationships with school staff based on honesty and trust. Plus, you'll help us crush our contractual goals! 🤝

What You'll Do:

• Keep an eye on your assigned schools and jump on any tech issues that pop up. 💻
• Fix network or equipment problems – think software, hardware, and infrastructure issues, all according to our SLAs. (Computers, servers, cloud apps – we've got it covered!) 🛠️
• Keep all your work logs updated in real-time with super-accurate notes. ✍️
• Be the main tech point of contact with manufacturers, suppliers, and other support teams. 📞
• Manage your day-to-day tasks like a boss to hit service levels and get proactive maintenance done. ⏰
• Spot opportunities to make things even better and more efficient for our schools. ✨
• Identify and solve issues, or escalate them when needed, always providing a top-notch customer experience through all communication channels. 💬
• Maintain professional and effective relationships with everyone you interact with. 👍

Nice-to-Haves:

• A driver's license and your own car (mileage is covered, don't worry!) 🚗

Entry Requirements:

• 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject.
• GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above).
• You shouldn't have an existing qualification at the same or a higher level in a similar subject.

Hours:

• 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (either 8am - 4pm or 8:30am - 4:30pm). 🗓️

Key responsibilities

• Monitor customer portfolio and respond to logged incidents.
