Are you looking for a career thatβs literally sky-high? βοΈ Airbus is seeking passionate individuals to join our 36-month Craft Aerosystems Apprenticeship program. This is your chance to get hands-on with cutting-edge aerospace technology, earn qualifications, and become a vital part of building the world's leading aircraft.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Year One (Coleg Cambria, Deeside): Dive into foundational learning and earn your NVQ Level 2, City and Guilds Level 2, and Level 2 Essential Skills qualifications. Youβll build the core knowledge needed for your aviation journey. π§
- Years 2 & 3 (Airbus Broughton, North Wales): Your learning takes flight! Join our world-class team on the Broughton site, working directly on live aircraft. You'll play a key role in manufacturing wings for our Single Aisle and Wide body families. π
- Rotate through diverse wing production areas, gaining a broad range of experience.
- Master the installation of complex aircraft systems: hydraulic lines, electrical wiring harnesses, fuel pipes, and control cables. π οΈ
- Precision fitting of components like valves, sensors, and actuators according to engineering drawings. π
- Conduct vital functional tests to ensure system integrity and performance. π§ͺ
- Diagnose and troubleshoot any issues, always adhering to rigorous aerospace safety standards. β
- Continue your academic journey with a Level 3 NVQ Extended Diploma and BTEC L3 Certificate, working towards becoming a skilled aircraft fitter.
- Upon Completion: Graduate as a skilled aircraft fitter specializing in electrics, hydraulics, and fuel systems, ready to contribute to the production of our world-class Airbus aircraft. You'll receive a Modern Apprenticeship Certificate to launch your fantastic career! π
What You'll Need:
- A minimum of five GCSEs, including:
- Grade C/4 in Maths (GCSE certificate only) β
- Grade C/4 in English Language (GCSE certificate only) βοΈ
- Grade CC/44 in Double Award Science OR Grade C/4 in Single Award Physics. βοΈ
- Plus two additional GCSEs at Grade C/4 (equivalent or higher qualifications in practical/technical subjects like Design & Technology or Engineering are a plus!).
- A genuine passion for learning, hands-on work, teamwork, and problem-solving. πͺ
