Dreaming of building the future of space? β¨ Airbus is looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our Craft Apprenticeship program as Structures Manufacturing Technicians! This is your chance to dive into the fascinating world of satellite manufacturing and develop essential mechanical and electrical skills. π οΈβ‘
What You'll Be Doing:
- Year 1: Dive into a Level 2 Engineering Operative course (electrical pathway) π, blending classroom learning with real-world practical experience.
- Year 2: Get an inside look at our Structures Production area, understanding the complete journey of a satellite build. You'll work in teams to manufacture spacecraft using the latest tech. π°οΈ
- Year 3: Hone your craft on-site, mastering both technical and business skills.
Your Key Activities Will Include:
- Mechanical Assembly: Precision fitting, using adhesives, measuring tools for tight tolerances, riveting, and drilling. π©
- Electrical Work: Learning wiring techniques, harness installation, and electrical testing. π
- Following Drawings & Processes: Using 3DX to ensure everything is built to spec. π
What We're Looking For:
- Age: 16-21* (and don't have a Level 2 or higher qualification in a related field).
- Education: GCSE Maths and English at Grade 3 (or equivalent) is a plus! π―
- Attitude: You're a great communicator, reliable, have a strong work ethic, a can-do attitude, and can follow instructions and work well in a team or solo. πͺ
- No Experience Needed: We provide full on-the-job training! π
