What You'll Be Doing:

You'll be immersed in real-world technical challenges, learning to keep our world-class aircraft production lines running smoothly. You'll also be supported by our Gen A network, packed with resources, events, and opportunities to connect with other early career talent. 🤝

Year 1: Building Foundations (Coleg Cambria, Deeside)

  • Get ready to earn: NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Performing Engineering Operations, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering BTEC Level 3 Award, and Level 2 Essential Skills. These qualifications will equip you with the essential knowledge to hit the ground running in your second year. 🧠

Years 2 & 3: Your Career Takes Flight (Airbus Broughton)

You'll join one of our expert teams, gaining practical experience while continuing your studies:

  • Mechanical Maintenance Role: Become a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Fitter! You'll be supporting the maintenance of production machinery and tooling across our fast-paced Broughton site. Tasks include:
  • Performing routine preventative maintenance (PPM) and fixing breakdowns efficiently and safely. 🔧
  • Troubleshooting complex plant assets, including automated systems. 💻
  • Diagnosing faults on technical equipment like PLCs and robotic devices. 🤖
  • Academic Qualifications: Level 3 NVQ Extended Diploma (Engineering Maintenance) and HNC in Mechanical Technology (Day Release).
  • Electrical Maintenance Role: Become a skilled Electrical Maintenance Fitter! You'll be working within our production areas, maintaining essential machinery and tooling. Tasks include:
  • Carrying out routine preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs on industrial assets. ⚡
  • Demonstrating effective troubleshooting on a range of plant assets. 📊
  • Diagnosing faults on specialist electrical and computerised systems. 💡
  • Academic Qualifications: Level 3 NVQ Extended Diploma (Engineering Maintenance) and HNC in Electrical and Electronic Technology (Day Release).

What We're Looking For:

  • Academic Achievements: Minimum of five GCSEs including:
  • Grade B (6) or above in Maths (GCSE certificate only). ➕
  • Grade C (4) or above in English Language (GCSE certificate only). ✍️
  • Grade CC (44) in Double Award Science OR Grade C (4) in Physics. ⚛️
  • Plus 2 other GCSEs at Grade C (4) or above.
  • Equivalent or higher qualifications in practical/technical subjects are also considered. 👍
