What You'll Be Doing:
- Year 1: Dive into learning with full-time studies at Weston College, then split your time between college and Airbus Filton, getting a taste of the real deal. 📚
- Years 2 & 3: Fully immersed at Airbus Filton! You'll be hands-on, supporting critical test campaigns with a mix of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation tasks. Get ready to build practical skills and technical knowledge. 💪
- Year 4: Become a full-time team member at your designated work location.
Core Activities (You'll be doing a mix of these!):
- Machining: Crafting and modifying components using lathes, mills, and grinders. 🔧
- Mechanical Assembly: Putting together test specimens, rigs, and even full aircraft wings. 🔩
- Instrumentation: Installing and setting up sensors, cameras, and other advanced tech. 📸
- Metrology: Using precise measurement techniques. 📏
- Cable & Connector Creation: Building bespoke solutions. 💡
- Control & Data Acquisition: Installing and commissioning systems to capture vital information. 📊
- Lab Support: Being involved in the entire testing process, from prep to execution. 🔬
Choose Your Path:
1. General Test Operations: Get broad exposure to all structural testing, supporting the full cycle from creation to data capture. You'll see how massive aerospace structures are evaluated.
2. Calibration-Focused: Become a whiz in metrology and calibration. Ensure our measurement tools are spot-on, maintain records, troubleshoot equipment, and even help develop new calibration techniques. 💯
Bonus: Both roles offer potential travel to other Airbus sites (think Hamburg, Toulouse!) and international suppliers for invaluable experience. 🌍

What You Need:
- Minimum of five GCSEs:
- Maths: Grade C/4 (B/5 preferred)
- English: Grade C/4
- Plus 3 other GCSEs at Grade C/4 (or equivalent qualifications).

Key responsibilities
