What You'll Be Doing:

Get hands-on experience with all the vital spacecraft subsystems and gain a 360° view of our Satellite Assembly Integration and Test department. 🛰️ You'll be supporting incredible UK National and ESA missions, including earth observation spacecraft like Forum and the Vigil space weather satellite!

Your days will be packed with exciting challenges: performing electrical measurements, writing and debugging code, troubleshooting anomalies, developing cutting-edge test solutions, crafting killer presentations, and collaborating with our awesome global engineering community. 💻📈

We want you to be at the forefront, leading and supporting activities in the Satellite Electrical Engineering department. This includes spacecraft subsystem integration, functional and system testing, investigating issues, analysing initial test results, and even joining us for environmental testing and spacecraft interface checks at launch sites! 🌎🚀

What You'll Need:

  • UCAS Points: A minimum of 96 UCAS points from A Levels or equivalent Level 3 qualifications in a Science and Engineering field. 🧠
  • GCSEs: 5 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including English Language, Maths, and a Science subject. 💯
  • Passion for Engineering: A genuine drive to understand how things work and create innovative solutions to test them. 💡
  • Practical Skills: A high level of hands-on engineering application. 💪
  • Coding Savvy: Good knowledge of programming and scripting (C, Java, bash scripting etc. is a plus!). 👨‍💻
  • Team Player: A positive, proactive attitude with a 'can-do' spirit and excellent teamwork skills. ✅
  • Communication: Ability to produce clear, accurate documentation and reporting, and to listen, understand, and communicate effectively. ✍️🗣️
  • Growth Mindset: A strong desire to learn, develop yourself, and work in a technical team environment. 🌱
  • Problem Solver: Interest in finding creative solutions to complex problems and making evidence-based decisions. 🧩
  • Openness: Willingness to work in an open and trusting environment and to be flexible, including occasional shift working. 🔄
