About the Role:
This apprenticeship is your launchpad into the exciting world of digital solutions at Airbus. You'll dive into diverse digital platforms, master industry-leading project management, and contribute directly to critical business projects. You'll gain experience across a variety of disciplines, including:

Over three years, you'll work towards a fully funded BSc (Hons) in Applied Data Science with our partner Bangor University and local colleges. Your industry-based work will take place at our world-leading aircraft manufacturer site in Broughton, North Wales. ✈️ Some travel to a local college in North Wales will be required for day-release study. We also believe in experiential learning, with opportunities for fun and development! 🎉
What You'll Be Doing:
You'll combine hands-on on-the-job training at Airbus with university learning to:
- Apply cutting-edge Applied Data Science principles to real-world business challenges.
- Drive data-led performance by leading and participating in analytics projects.
- Innovate with digital tools, researching and developing new digital and AI-powered solutions.
- Shape product development through analysis, design, testing, and integration of IT solutions.
- Craft bespoke software solutions to meet evolving business needs.
- Manage projects end-to-end, from requirements gathering to overseeing timelines.
You'll collaborate with diverse teams including engineering, design, quality, operations, cyber security, IT solutions, and help desk. You'll also have opportunities to explore placements in HR, finance, and more! 🤝
What You'll Need:
Are you passionate about digital technology, IoT, mobile apps, data analytics, cybersecurity, Generative AI, and future tech? If so, this could be for you!
Eligibility Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 A-Levels at grade C/4 or above, with at least one in Maths, Sciences, or IT.
- OR a BTEC L3 Extended Diploma and Cambridge Technical Diplomas in Maths, Science, or IT/Digital subject at minimum MMM grade.
- OR an Access to HE Diploma Merit Level in Maths, Science, or an IT subject.
- OR Welsh Baccalaureate with Maths, Science, or an IT subject at H grades.
- OR Equivalent qualifications/Experience subject to validation.
- GCSEs 4/C or above in Maths and English Language.
*Please note: Applicants with undergraduate degrees in computing/IT are not eligible for this funded programme.*
You'll also demonstrate:
- Digital Savviness: Comfortable with tools like Google Workspace. 💻
- Motivation: A strong drive for personal development and self-motivation. 💪
- Communication: Excellent listening and communication skills. 🗣️
- Flexibility: Willingness to tackle a wide variety of tasks. 🤸
- Organisation: Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities. ⏱️
- Technical Familiarity: Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL, JavaScript), data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), or cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud, AWS, Azure) is a plus, but not essential! ✨

Key responsibilities
