What's the deal?
You'll embark on a unique 4-year journey to achieve:
- BEng (Hons) in Electromechanical Engineering 🎓
- EAL Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence)
- EAL Level 4 Diploma in Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing (Development Competence)
- Work towards a professional IEng level award
What will you be doing?
You'll dive into exciting placements across various engineering disciplines, including:
- Aircraft Architecture & Integration 🏗️
- Design & Simulation 💻
- Stress & Fatigue Analysis 🛠️
- Systems Installation Safety 🚦
- Research & Technology 🔬
- Certification & Testing 📈
- Ground & Flight Test ✈️
- In-Service Support 🔧
- Digital Technologies (Coding, AI, ML, Data Analytics) 🤖
You'll also level up your skills in:
- Project Management 📊
- Business & Financial Acumen 💰
- Leadership & Teamwork 🤝
What you need:
To be eligible, you'll need:
- A minimum of 112 UCAS points 💯
- OR 3 A Levels (BBC or above) including Maths (Grade B or above) AND Physics or Chemistry (Grade C or above), plus another A-level/AS-level/BTEC Diploma.
- OR BTEC Extended Diploma (DMM or D) in specific engineering fields.
- OR T Levels (Merit overall) in Engineering and Manufacturing (Maths at Level 3 is a bonus!).
- GCSE Maths and English (Language and Literature) – Minimum Grade 5/B ✅

Key responsibilities
- Undertake varied engineering placements across areas such as Aircraft Architecture, Design, Simulation, and Digital.
- Participate in a full degree programme and vocational training to achieve a BEng (Hons) in Electromechanical Engineering.
- Develop Project Management skills through dedicated departmental placements.
- Cultivate Leadership Skills by working on projects with a broad range of people.
- Engage in real engineering work on Commercial Aircraft Programmes.
