About the role
Join our team as a School Sport Coach and help young athletes level up their game! π You'll design and lead awesome coaching sessions focused on boosting kids' physical skills and overall fitness. π€ΈββοΈ We need you to understand each child's development β cognitive, social, emotional, and physical β and use your skills to help them reach their PE goals. π―
Your mission includes:
- Delivering top-notch PE lessons: Make sure every student gets a high-quality, inclusive experience that matches the National Curriculum. π
- Running cool clubs and activities: Lead extra-curricular clubs and activities that get kids moving and having fun. π
- Organizing sports events: Help out with school games competitions and events β be part of the action! π
- Energizing break times: Keep the energy high with fun physical activities during break and lunch. βοΈ
- Supporting learning: Assist pupils in accessing other learning activities as needed. π§
- Stepping in when needed: Provide cover for PE and Sports staff when they're out. π€
- Keeping gear in check: Ensure all PE equipment is in top condition, safe, and report any damage. π οΈ
- Managing supplies: Keep an eye on stock and supplies, cataloging them as required. π¦
- Prep work: Get PE equipment and resources ready for staff on time. β°
- Guided learning: Implement structured learning activities and teaching programs under teacher direction. π¨βπ«
- Safe equipment use: Show and help others use PE equipment safely and effectively. β
- Giving feedback: Provide constructive feedback to pupils on their progress and achievements. π
- Record keeping: Maintain records as requested by staff. βοΈ
- Admin support: Help with tasks like typing, printing, photocopying, and displays. π
- Team player: Participate in meetings as required and contribute to planning and evaluating activities. π‘
- Child safety first: ALWAYS safeguard children and ensure their safety by following good Health & Safety practices. This is non-negotiable. π‘οΈ
- Raising standards: Contribute to creating a positive learning environment with high expectations for all children. β¨
- Behaviour support: Support teachers and staff in managing pupil behaviour, reporting any issues. π£οΈ

Key responsibilities
