What you'll be doing:

  • Help plan and run awesome, age-appropriate activities that boost kids' learning and development. ๐ŸŽจ
  • Build super positive, caring, and respectful relationships with the children, their families, and your colleagues. ๐Ÿฅฐ
  • Contribute to a safe, welcoming, and inclusive vibe for every child. ๐ŸŒŸ
  • Assist with personal care routines like toileting, nappy changes, handwashing, and mealtimes (where needed). ๐Ÿงผ
  • Encourage children to be independent, confident, and great at socialising. ๐Ÿค
  • Observe children's interests, development, and progress, and help keep records. ๐Ÿ“
  • Support children's learning through play, sparking their curiosity, creativity, and exploration. ๐Ÿ’ก
  • Follow all of our important policies on safeguarding, health and safety, confidentiality, and behaviour. โœ…
  • Be a star player in our nursery team and help keep our atmosphere positive. ๐ŸŽ‰
  • Help keep our indoor and outdoor learning spaces clean, organised, and inviting. ๐ŸŒฟ
  • Communicate effectively with parents/carers and other professionals (under the guidance of senior staff). ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ
  • Attend training sessions and complete all your apprenticeship learning and assessments. ๐Ÿ“š
  • Take ownership of your professional development and be open to feedback. ๐Ÿ’ช

Key responsibilities

  • Support the planning and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote children's learning and development
  • Build positive, caring and respectful relationships with children, parents/carers and colleagues
  • Help provide a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all children
  • Support children's personal care needs, including toileting, nappy changing, handwashing and mealtimes, where appropriate
  • Follow the setting's safeguarding, health and safety, confidentiality and behaviour policies
